Borra-Proiettile®

For boar hunting

The power of speed, precision and strength.

The progressive spiral line allows gyroscopic stability along trajectory and long-distance precision.
Borra-Proiettile can be fired with throttled and rifled barrels too.
Self-adjusting on closing and self-reducing in throttle.

Our Slug has specific features for screw trajectory.
Therefore, avoid using rifled chokers, which would damage its aerodynamic profiles, thus reducing precision on target.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES

Totally new: built with self-reducing projections, so as not to damage the barrels.
This feature also allows the Borra-Proiettile to be fired from choked and rifled barrels.

Single height: including slug in cohesion with launching Wad. This Wad is also damping thanks to the tubular element (patented coupling), which enables to obtain all the heights deriving from the powder volumes.

Outer part: aerodynamic with progressive spiral grooves and side fins for screw action and stability along trajectory.

Inner part: two pre-set fractures which, on hitting the target, enable the slug to deform by percussion of the central pin.

Borra-Proiettile - Fratturata
Borra-Proiettile - Grafico

TECHNICAL FEATURES

  1. Flat edger support tip.
  2. Ogival head with progressive spiral grooves.
  3. Edge support collar. From the case rim to the support point use about 15-16 mm case.
  4. Pre-set inner fractures.
  5. Self-reducing projections.
  6. Cohesion shank.
  7. Dividing pin.
  8. Multi-tubular plastic guide Wad, to reduce impact force and allow self-adjustment when edging.
  9. Gas seal cup.

Important: avoid additional elements; on edging the combined heights are obtained thanks to the Wad elasticity. Use round edge only, using about 15-16 mm case (see picture). Always use common edger with flat inner surface (see sectional drawing).
If the edger has a CONCAVE top, cartridges with protruding Slugs will be produced, and the recoil from the rifle would make them dangerous.

12 G. testing data

Attention!
DANGEROUS CARTRIDGE with protruding tip.
